\nBenefits of mixture
\nAll of the species in the mixture are perennial sweet grasses that are highly palatable and digestible. It can be utilised as hay and standing hay.
\nThe species complement each other well, as both Rhodes and Bottle brush grass establish relatively quickly from planting and suppress weed emergence.
\nBlue buffalo and Bottle brush grass are exceptionally hardy grass species that grow very well in areas with an annual rainfall of as little as 350mm in the summer rainfall regions.
\nDry matter production can be as high as 18-20 tons\/ha under irrigation, subject to correct management practices.
\nManagement is based on normal Smutsfinger management practices.
